IMPACT

For the past ten years, more than 3,000 women have been students in tailoring, jewlery, and painting at Samruddhi Mahila. The learned skills have helped them transfer their knowledge to other members in the community, over 20 women have become government certified trainers. Other women have chosen to create their own artisanal products and sell them in order to obtain financial stability.

After the training, the students can become trainers and obtain a salary from the government. The employment opportunities increase the womens' confidence, respect, and empowerment. In addition, students can become their own boss and become designers. They can create their own creative products, and they are able to obtain bank loans because they received the certification. With an increase in income, they also can create savings and use the additional income in ways they weren't able to before.
